Tulancingo cultural received news from Senegal, about this outstanding contest and symposium in Dakar.

The  International Sculpture and Painting Symposium Dakar 2017 is being held in Senegal, from the July 1 to July 30, 2017, at the hotel complex Sou soum Hotel  and Cices Dakar organized by Ousmane Gueye sculptor in association with the Ministry of Culture of Senegal.

As DAK`ARTS 2017 established, its targets are promoting the arts and artists and make Senegal an artistic destination, linking relationships between artists from both sides- Artistic and cultural exchange between the two sides- To promote high quality contemporary art availability to public, raise public interest in culture, preservation of cultural heritage, and development of tourism in the region.

The participants of the Symposium were selected on the base of projects of the sculptures, painting sketches and documents sent previously, and are to compete while being at the Symposium in  accomplishing the sculpture or paintings in accordance with the selected projects or sketches sent. 

Sculptures and paintings produced by the artists in the symposium will be exhibited in The Sculpture Park of the city Dakar and the Gallery Arts Dakar,  and 8% of each painting sold during the symposium will be used for the orphans and poor African children.
